Member Bio

      I’v been an electrician for 50 years.  I am a retired electrical Contractor of 35 years.  I’ve been married for over 50 years and have a son and a daughter (both older than I care to mention) and 3 adult grandchildern.

    I had my novice Ticket in the early 60’s and let it expire.  Returning to Ham Raido after 62 years away.  I recently was issued a Vanity Call, W9GTZ, which was my origional call from 62 years ago.  I passed my technicians in early May of 2024 and Passed my General in July of 2024.  I currently have a modest shack using a FT991a with an end feed longwire for HF and a Duel Band Jpole for 2 meters and 70 cm and another Jpole for 6 meters.  I am a member on the Milwaukee Repeater Club.  I tend to hang out on 40 meters, the FM 38 Network (443.800) and 146.910 the MRC repeater.
