Member Bio
Greetings,
My QTH is in Lancaster County, PA. I live in a very Amish community and love it. The people are very nice. I have modified a shed in my back yard into my Radio Shack. The Radio Shack is about 90% where I want it..
I have a long wire about 80′ in a tree, my Gap Challenger antenna and a 2M 70CM antenna up. I have an an antenna port with 6 ports, 3 are open so I plan on putting more antennas up.
My Shack has 4 HF rigs (FLEX 6500, FT990, FT991A, and IC7300) I have a Wires-X node and it has an HRI200 connected to a FTM100D. I have an FTM400XDR for 2M and 70CM. The FT991A also has 2M and 70CM capabilities. I have 2 RCA DMR Radios as well.
The local repeater I work the most is the W3GMS repeater 146.985 https://w3gmsrepeater.com. They are very welcoming and have a rountable every Thursaday night at 8:30 PM.
I have recently been assigned a new work truck. I have installed a FT891 and ATAS 120A antenna to operate HF on the road. I have an Anytone 578UV mobile for DMR use. I have a Harris XG-100 Mobile for Anaolog Conventional and P25. It is a Multi-Band VHF/UHF/700-800MHz radio. I am still working on the mounting but I am getting close to having the radios where I want.
I have 3 antennas on the back of the truck (Tri-Band for the XG100M, ATAS 120A for the FT891, and a diamond 2M/70CM for the Anytone).
I have a FTM500DR in my personal truck.
I have added pictures of my shack and vehicle below.
73 to you and thanks for looking in on me!
