Previous call KG4AOT. Ross Oakes, Burdette, Mississippi County, AR (55m NE of Memphis). I’ve been interested in Ham radio for years .. but procrastinated. Started testing 10/27/98 and passed Novice, Tech, & General written first time, & missed 13wpm by one question! Aced 13wpm 11/14/98 (Yea!). Keep saying I’m going for my Extra … but never seem to get around to it.

General: Disabled USAF Vet. Married with 3 kids … 3 beautiful Grand Babies. Am fully disabled and retired (more radio time HAHA)

Equipment:Kenwood TS-570D. Previous rig a Kenwood TS-850S purchased om EBay (as was my first radio, a TS-530TS. Still have it!!

Hobbies: I’m a Private Pilot, and a successful solo musician (Keyboards & vocals), and still play occasionally. Also a Boxing fan .. plus my Ham.

I’ve been off the air for quiet a while .. and am just getting back into HF (where did everybody go??)

Goals: Relax … enjoy life, my family, and my radio.
