Originally from Inuvik in the Northwest Territories of Canada,

I moved to the United States of America when I married an American. After stints of living and teaching in New York City, Palo Alto, California, Denver, Colorado, Phoenix, Arizona, Moscow, Russia, Surrey, England, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, and Tokyo, Japan I moved to the Cincinnati, Ohio area to be near some of my grandchildren and currently reside in Middletown, Ohio (Butler County) with my wife, Karen, and our dogs, Tee Tee, Squirrley Dan, and our latest addition, Ms. Bree

I was trained as a Physicist and worked on several of the Mars missions over the years. I also taught Physics for 25 years before retiring from teaching and retraining as a Nurse, specializing in Hospice Care. I’m now retired from Physics and semi-retired from Nursing and realized I needed a hobby. I have always been interested in electronics and I had thought about Amateur Radio before but never seemed to have had the time to devote to becoming licensed. Now semi-retired, I had the time to invest, so I started studying for my Amateur Radio License. I studied on the web at a website called HamTestOnline.com starting in the first week of November 2021 and then took and passed both the Tech and General on November 20, 2021. I then started studying for the Extra and passed my Extra on December 18, 2021.
