Member Bio

I was first licensed as WN0LJV in February 1965. This was my first station, a Hart 75 CW + AM transmitter with a Mosley CM-1 receiver.

I upgraded to General in August 1965. Since I had just turned 14 and hadn’t had algebra yet I had to memorize all the formulas in all variations. 🙂

Upgraded to Advanced in 1980 and to 20 WPM Extra Class in 1982.

I work as the editor of a German-language Christian magazine and I have lived in Germany some 30+ years. I also hold a German Class A license, DF4PK.

My dad was a ham, W0KOM, he got me interested in amateur radio. My brother Tom was able to garner his old call sign.
