Had a short lived novice license in 1966. Could not get the hang of morse code and gave up. Fast forward to today decided to get back into radio after retiring from a job developing test rigs for military radios. Got a Technician ticket and an Icom IC-746 Pro. Built a copper pipe J pole and have been enjoying 2 meter repeaters and nets. Will probably go for the General to try some HF. Glad to get back into a great hobby full of great people.

Update 2/17/2024:

I passed my General exam this morning and celebrated by ordering a EFHW-4010 antenna for HF.

Enjoying the 40 M Nickel Belt Net on 7.250 MHz. Great bunch of hams.
