Member Bio
I now have had my general’s license since December of 2019. I didn’t know what to expect when I started this hobby, but I now know that there are several men and women out there that have an interest in different areas of radio communications. I have been lucky enough to make contact with several genuinely good people that are willing to help one another out. I have really enjoyed becoming a part of the ham community, and I have had the pleasure of being able to come across different types of people that add their own unique friendships, and comradery that I have not experienced anywhere else. Whether you are a new ham or an Elmer this hobby allows you to put as much or as little time and effort as you are willing to give. My youngest son is also a licensed operator, and I enjoy being able to share something in common that allows us to bond in a variety of ways. The advice that I would like to give to other operators is “nothing to it but to do it.” Get out on the air waves, try new things, and don’t stop learning.!!! Best of luck to you on your own ham journey and CQ, CQ, CQ….
