I live in the small community of Goodway Junction, Alabama 6 miles south of Frisco City, Alabama about 74 miles north of Mobile, Alabama.

I am a disabled Veteran of the US Army.

I am a semi-retired Southern Baptist Preacher.

I love fishing with the LOVE of my life, my wife of 52 years! (As of 2022)

I have wanted to be on Ham Radio since I was a small kid and at 69, I finally made it, LOL!

In June 2022 I passed the Technician test and then two weeks later I passed the General test.

My first radio was a Kenwood TS850S 100 watt that went out on me a few months later.

I then acquired a Yaesu FT-847 with satellite capabilities, then I found an AL-811H amp and  a MFJ-989C tuner that the deal on it was just too good to pass up.

In September 2022 I bought a IC-7300 and it is what I use mostly, my FT 847 is mainly used for 2M.

Iknow have a new MFJ-989D Legal Limit tuner and an AL-572 amplifier.

I can be found on the Eye Bank Net on 7.238 Monday thru Saturday from 7:30 AM central till 8:30 AM.

I also love the rag chew of the bunch on 7.262 (Professional Loafers Club) 9:00 AM central till 11:00 AM Monday thru Friday.
