Served on submarine duty as a Second Class Petty Officer / Electronics Technician on the USS Spadefish SSN-668 in the mid to late 1990’s. I worked on Navigation Electronics such as GPS, NAVSAT, RADAR, IFF and ESGN. Nothing related to RF comms outside of the IFF system.

Worked for Liebert/Emerson/Vertiv as Field Service Engineer through District Manager until 2024.

Currently work for DVL Group, Inc. as a Project Manager for critical customer infrastructure (Datacenters, Power, Mechanical)

I do not know why it took me so long to get involved in HAM radio. My first foray was with GMRS radios and I realized the utility of the GMRS system but also the limitations. I was quickly drawn to HAM radio. Looking forward to getting on HF asap.
