Thanks for stopping by. I gained interest in the hobby with mobile VHF\UHF + handheld use and decided that I really enjoyed HF. I got my ticket in 2018 June obtaining my technical and passed general license a month later. CB was my introduction to radio in the 1970’s. Update 2019, obtained the advanced extra ticket!
Originally from Michigan, I moved to the hot, congested, Washington DC area 30 years ago with all the wonderful things that come with it, the good, the bad and the ugly. You decide which is which. My call sign is a vanity call that describes my occupation. Hopefully, in another 10 years or so, if I am still able, will move back to the cooler or temperate climate with no HOA.
I reply to QSL cards via direct mail or eQSL, but don’t respond to QRZ.com request for logs .
My setup:
- Kenwood TS-450S
- Ameritron AL-811H amplifier
- MFJ manual tuner
- G5RV MFJ antenna, 160 Meter homemade loop with remote help from KI4YTV(many thanks) cut to 560 feet.
