I am the creator and founder of USTNET, also known as the United States Traffic & Awards Net. I took the responsibility of building, designing, and maintaining this website entirely on my own. In order to cater to the specific needs of Amateur Radio enthusiasts, I customized plugins and various applications. It is worth noting that there is a scarcity of apps and software designed for Ham Radio when it comes to websites like this.

Although I do not have a professional background in programming, I worked as a systems administrator for a computer society in NYC from the late 90s, particularly during the Y2K era, until 2003. Subsequently, I served as a school jointure district IT manager, focusing on children with special needs. Meanwhile, I dedicated my time as a volunteer firefighter for several years. Unfortunately, I was compelled to retire in 2012 due to health reasons, following multiple medical operations, excruciating pain, and Cyber Knife surgery. Throughout these challenges, numerous MRI scans, and all the hardships, I managed to support my children in pursuing their education and maintain a fulfilling life, thanks to my amazing wife, Irene DelRosso.

I must express my gratitude to Irene for her unwavering support, as she played a pivotal role in enabling me to share this biography and carry on with USTNET in memory of Don. My journey in the realm of Amateur Radio has been and will continue to be a continuous learning process. The diverse individuals I encounter along the way, even those who lack knowledge about the subject, offer intriguing perspectives that keep me engaged and willing to listen, regardless of where the conversation may lead.
