Self-proclaimed “renaissance nerd”…   I’ve been into electronics and computers my entire life.

My dad was a Ham, I’m a Ham and now my son Daniel is too (KQ4GOB)!   I’ve recently upgraded to Extra and enjoy hanging out on 40m and 20m, and have started to get into satellites.

I’m a member of ARRL, RARS (Raleigh Amateur Radio Society) and AMSAT.   I have a packet node hooked up on the NCPacket / Tarpn network, which is a super fun way to stay in touch w/ the locals.
