Netlogger

NetLogger is inspired by previous Ham Radio projects and provides a cross-platform code base.

2. Select Download

3. Select your version based on your Computer and version of Windows, MAC or LINUX

4. Enter your Callsign and Email Address

5. Click “Download”

6. Once the NetLogger program is downloaded, install it on your computer.

7. Open NetLogger

8. Click on the blue “Select Net” button and look for the Net you want on the dropdown box, and select it.

9. Use the “View Monitors”, and the “Aim Window” buttons to view and communicate with others using NetLogger.

10. Additional program information is available from the “Help” utility within the program by selecting “Help” from the top menu.

Most of our members use "NetLogger." It not only logs contacts you make on USTNET Nets (or various other nets), but it also shows a "live" list of who is currently checked in to a net. This is a popular utility to see who is on that you may need to work.

To those who are not familiar with Netlogger, USTNET does NOT support the program, but we can help start you out.

First, once you install NetLogger, Click Setup then Change Operator add your call sign and add the name you wish to be known. Then click Done. Next, you can customize your preferences by exploring the various options available. Take your time to familiarize yourself with the different features and settings. Afterwards, you can start using NetLogger to log your contacts.

Second, you need to go to the Setup section and locate the Worked Station Flag option. Click on it and make sure to click on every one of them. Once you have done that, click on Done to complete the process.

To log a contact, please follow these steps: – HIGHLIGHT the line of the Station you are working in the top pane. (We usually highlight the callsign on that line.) – Click the LOG CONTACT button on the top. – The BOTTOM pane will then show a contact line for you to fill in the signal reports. Everything else will be filled in automatically.

After this, you have many different options to transfer these contacts to other logs, whether online or offline logging programs like HRD, DXKeeper etc. From these programs, you can send your logs OUT to LoTW and download them to QRZ which will confirm the contacts to QRZ if confirmed by LoTW. There is also a way to export an ADIF file from NetLogger directly and upload it to wherever you want. However, please note that this is not within the scope of our support.

When it comes to finding an ELMER and learning how to log for yourself and selecting a logging program that aligns with your budget and station requirements, our strong recommendation is that thorough research is conducted before delving into any particular software package. There is a wide array of programs available to choose from, and acquiring knowledge about them beforehand will certainly aid in making an informed decision.
